The Initiative has been launch on 4 October 2003 in the UAE Embassy in Argentina.


The event has been presented by the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Buenos Aires, Saeed Abdullah Al Qemzi, the Minister of Science and Technology of Argentina, Daniel Filmus, the Director of the Emirates Tech & Invest initiative, Martín Bueno, and the head of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in Argentina, Martín Ridley and more than 20 Selected Technology companies from Argentina.

Argentina Delegation visit the Tech and Science Ecosystem in UAE.

During the first Week of March, an Argentine delegation lead by the president of CONICET Dr. Daniel Salamone and Martin Bueno, founder of the CITEG.AE initiative , Emirates Tech and Invest Ayelen Ebene, and private sector companies from Argentina, held a set of official meetings in the United Arab Emirates; with the aim of exploring strategic opportunities and collaboration and investment projects in the Advanced Science and Technologies sector.

During the meetings held, the scientific and technical capabilities of CONICET were presented, as well as the citeg.ae initiative, which aims to concentrate the technological offers and demands of both countries, using and advance integrated platform, accessible to public and private sector
